As the left hand turns over, use your thumb to push the coin out of the fist, toward the body, so that when the turn of the hand is completed, approximately half of the coin (or more) is outside of the hand, as shown in Figure 55. To the audience, it should appear as if you have done nothing more than turned your left hand over and closed it into a fist. Be sure that your spectators are positioned at an angle at which the coin will not be seen.

“The molecules of the coin will now dematerialize,” you announce. “It takes nothing more than slight agitation from my right hand to make the miracle happen.”

Begin rubbing the back of your left hand with your right fingertips. As you do, steal the coin by clipping it between the base of the right index finger and thumb, as in Figure 56. As you continue massaging the back of your left hand, deposit the coin in its center. Continue rubbing, then gradually reveal the coin on the back of the left hand to complete the penetration effect.
